Fellowship Programs

The Care-for-Rare Global Alliance Program together with the C4R Academy Program offers three different fellowship grants:

  • Conference fellowships for talented early-career scientists and physicians mainly from low- and middle-income countries to attend selected conference on rare diseases.
  • Short-Term fellowships in order to support physicians and scientists worldwide in expanding their knowledge of rare diseases
  • Long-Term fellowships to spend research periods in renowned centers of excellence and to study rare diseases for more than six months. One focus is on promoting translational research, which combines basic research and clinical practice

In addition, the Care-for-Rare Academy Program promotes translational research at Ludwigs-Maximilians-Universität in Munich.
